Audio drop when using multiple segments (1.7.0)

Post by Bunigu94 »

Hi,

I've just tried to remove promotions between a film (.ts from a receiver) and made multiple segments (4 in this case).

After transcoding the film I checked the "cuts" and there is an audio drop out of about ~0.5 - 1 second. I really can't say if it is at the end or beginning of the "cut". Will there be a fix? I can convert the part into a small .mp4 file and upload, etc.

Also after finishing 2 parts of 4, SM stopped the work for ~45/60 seconds. I've thought it crashed but it continued. Why this?

Thanks a lot.

Just did the same with making multiple batches linked into one output file.

After part 2/4, elapsed time 0:55, SC stopped - looks like a hang-up, but continues after 1 min 23 sec (stopped it now) - and then showed an elapsed time of 03:20 ... (0:55 + 1:23 is not 03:20 ...).

However - the audio drop out of 0.5 sec at the end of the first segment is also there.

Dear Bunigu94:
Thanks for your message.

What is the video player you are using to show the problem?

'I can convert the part into a small .mp4 file and upload'
Could you please upload a video sample to our ftp server for a test? We want just the original TS file, neither the cut result of Smart Cutter nor the converted mp4.

It would be better if the sample file size is less than 50 MB.

If you can not find small sample, use this simple tool to split your movie file into small pieces, and upload any one of them.
http://www.softpedia.com/get/PORTABLE-S ... rger.shtml
-------------------------------------
before uploading sample, please create sub-directory with your name under the root, then upload sample to this sub-directory.

FULL priviliged --- mkdir, read, write, remove
Will be helpful to limit the sample file size under 50MB.
Thank you.

Sorry, for the late reply but I was so busy and never tried it again.

I've just tested it with 1.7.6 and all works perfect! No audio drop out, no wait / hang up during the process. 8-)

Thanks a lot!
