Re: Smart Cutter damages stream or track information
tsMuxeR is notorious for failing to determine track types. A shame, because otherwise it's very good. There may in fact be nothing wrong with your cut stream. "eac3to" is another tool which works well. There is a GUI for it called "More GUI" I think. I just use the comamnd-line v...

Re: BUG - Duplicated GOP and Blocking Artifacts in Output Fi
Here is a screenshot of the H.264 elementary stream with the "wrong length" SEI message highlighed. You can see there is a load of garbage bytes just after the message. (Full-sized image at http://img196.imagevenue.com/img.php?image=39660_wav.new_SEI_122_351lo.jpg ) http://img196.imagevenu...

Re: BUG - Duplicated GOP and Blocking Artifacts in Output Fi
I have an update to my previous post. I contacted the author of DiAVC and he thinks his codec produces blocking artifacts because the H.264 bitstream in wav.new.ts is corrupt. He pointed out that the bitstream does not parse successfully when decoded using the reference "JM" decoder (the o...

Re: BUG - Duplicated GOP and Blocking Artifacts in Output Fi
Thank you for posting the new samples and sorry for the delay in responding. I have been trying out some new versions of codecs on your samples. I may not have been clear in my earlier post, but only certain software codec/player combinations stutter during the playback. My hardware player (which I ...

Re: BUG - Duplicated GOP and Blocking Artifacts in Output Fi
Well, first thing to say is that using version 1.3.8 (i.e. fixing the pic_struct values) does not stop the stuttering. But nevertheless I'm very pleased to see pic_struct fixed. :) Thanks for making these samples available. I'm pretty sure they both stutter, but it's a little difficult to tell becau...

Re: BUG - Duplicated GOP and Blocking Artifacts in Output Fi
Actually, on further investigation, I'm not sure if the stuttering is caused by the difference in pic_struct. It might also be caused by a discontinuity in the value of picture order count between the re-encoded and original frames. So another feature request would be - In the re-encoded frames, ali...

Re: BUG - Duplicated GOP and Blocking Artifacts in Output Fi
Thank you. I have tested the new release on 2 examples which previously failed and they both now work. Excellent! :D One feature I would love to see added to a future release some time would be this: Ensure that re-encoded frames at cut points are encoded with the same pic_struct as the originals. A...

Re: Blocking artifacts at start of each cut/re-encoded part
I have had similar issues viewing H.264 in MPC-HC, especially if I pause and then resume playback. I found that increasing the "input buffer size" setting in the Haali Media Splitter (I changed it from 8192 to 20000) helped a lot.Ralle wrote:
Is this a player/decoder problem ?

Re: BUG - Duplicated GOP and Blocking Artifacts in Output Fi
Any update on this? Have you been able to reproduce the issue with the files I sent? Do you need any other info?
Thanks.
Thanks.

BUG - Duplicated GOP and Blocking Artifacts in Output File
Please refer to the files uploaded to subdirectory 'wavelet' on the FTP server. File test1.ts is the original transport stream. File test1cut.ts is the output after attempting to cut from frames #16 to #496 inclusive (where the first frame is frame #0). There are 2 bugs in the output. Bug 1. 17 fram...
