audio stream visible

Post by Frasier »

is it possible to see the audio stream in smart.cutter?
if yes: so see when audio stream is changing eg from 2.0 to 5.1?
many tv stations are changing the audio stream to 5.1 a little late and so i have to cut the streams twice, because
the audio stream is marked as 2.0 instead of 5.1
i hope you know what i mean, sorry for my english ;)

Yes this is a good feature and I'd agree it would be a worthwhile addition.

Many of us are using the function in VideoReDo and find it very useful.

In that application you can switch on the display of audio. This shows as a line graph of audio level under the preview line. Further when it is colour coded to show the type of stream encloded.

As noted above this allows you to cut at the end of the audio which may not coincide with the video. Often TV will fade out to a commercial leaving the audio running for a second or more.

Cheers

Audio stream type visible

Post by Battler »

I record AC3 with a Haupage PVR and would find it very useful to see where the audio stream changes. At present its a little bit of a guess where 2ch finishes and 6ch starts and a hint on the audio line would help

As noted above VideoReDo simply changes the boarder colour.

Nothing complex but very handy

PS Folks well done with the addition of batch and multiple edit display on the time line (1.4.9/1.5.0). I've done quite a few edits and its saving me lots of time and hasle.
