I am using Smart Mate with Windows 7 64 bit. It has crashed quite often while playing with it (only started using it today). Have you tested with Win 7 64 bit?

We tested the Mate under Win 7 32 bit and it was working corretly.

Could you please describe the problem in a bit more detail?
Does it crash on a special movie file?
If you find a movie file or a directory which will always crashes the Mate, please use the Smart Cutter to open the movie file, see whether it also crashes.

Looking forward to your further message.
Thank you.

I opened a .m2ts file (1920x1080/50i 18kbps video; AC3 5.1 surround 448 kbps 16bit sample 48kHz sample rate audio) from my Sony HDR-XR520 camera in Smart cutter. After dragging the main scroll tab back and forth a few times (after 16, 6 & 12 times in three attempts) the program crashed. (The third time was with a different file clip, but same details.)

I have a i7-920 CPU @ 2.67GHz with 12 GB RAM

Dear PeterDuke:
Thanks for your prompt reply and the detailed information.

Please help us to take a small test:
We now have the Smart Cutter version 1.2.8f
http://www.fame-ring.com/smart.cutter.rar
Could you please have this new version a try with the file that is causing the crash? Just decompress and run.
Thank you.

If the problem still exists with the 1.2.8f, could you please send us a small sample(upto 20MB each) that is causing the problem? Our email
famering@gmail.com or support@fame-ring.com

If you can not find a sample that is small enough, then you could upload a bigger sample to our FTP server
-----------------------------------------------
FTP server for uploading samples

FTP server for samples
before uploading samples, please create your own directory under the root, then upload samples to this sub-directory.

FULL priviliged --- mkdir, read, write, remove
Will be helpful to limit the size of each sample under 50MB! Thank you.

FTP Username: samples@fame-ring.com
Password: samples
FTP Server: ftp.fame-ring.com
FTP Server Port: 21

Thank you so much for your help!

Yes, thank you. That seems to have done the trick. I'll do some more extensive testing when time permits. Good work.
